RED SEA
The Red Sea is a sea that occupies 43,000 km 2 , of a narrow and elongated morphology, it divides Africa from the Middle East. There are many states that overlook it, some of which are very popular places for divers and snorkelers from all over the world.
LET'S GET TO KNOW IT BETTER
Like the Mediterranean Sea, it has had an evolutionary history of its own, its semi-closed basin has developed
unique characteristics and one of the richest biodiversity on planet Earth.
Once you put your head under water in the Red Sea, a slow addiction to CORAL REEF begins!
The vast majority of tourists in fact, are super Repeaters!
Do you know a painter's palette?
Now imagine 4,000 km of colors mixed together and you get the Red Sea coral reef!
One of the most amazing and healthy coral reefs in the world.
The Red Sea is suitable for all friendly fins beginners but also for the more experienced!
Both snorkelers and divers: near the shore we find beautiful calm, warm and transparent waters that encourage you to dive and discover what's underneath!
Trust us, it will be love at first fin kick!
SNORKELING
WHAT TO SEE?
Put on your Friendly Fins fins and mask and dive into one of the most beautiful coral reefs in the world!
Snorkeling in the Red Sea means coming into contact with one of the richest biodiversity we can encounter, but we are not just talking about coral, we are talking about fish, cetaceans, sea turtles and of course our beloved sharks.
All this while snorkeling?
Well, yes! So don't be shy and follow our advice!
Some curiosities, because the appetite comes with eating...
In the special bay of Abu Dabbab beach in Marsa Alam, Egypt, we meet a very unique host: the dugong, one of the most "paciocconte" animals in the sea. It is worth going to visit him while he is eating his "salad"!
Often in addition to him we can also find green turtles.
There are also some rare bays where sedentary dolphins live, for example Sha'ab Samadai Reef, of singular beauty...
But I wonder why settle?
Can you see sharks while snorkeling?
But why not? Why not go and see the world's largest shark in Djibouti (at the mouth of the Red Sea)? The whale shark is just the icing on the cake of this wonderful world.

DIVING WHAT TO SEE?
The Red Sea is perhaps the most popular destination for Italian divers together with the Maldives, dotted with marine parks and wrecks, we really have something for everyone.
The thing that takes my breath away in the Red Sea are these vertical walls with an unimaginable amount of life around that contrasts with this intense blue, which you peek at in the hope that something might appear
For divers looking for pure adrenaline instead…
Here are some places far from the coast and reachable only thanks to diving cruises are the dive sites among the most spectacular in the world: Daedalus Reef, Borthers, St. John’s, Elphinstone and Fury Shoals.
Here we can find shark paradises!
But don’t worry!
The friendly fins divers who will embark on this adventure must be ready to visit: hammerhead sharks, silky sharks, oceanic whitetip sharks, thresher sharks, tuna, jacks, in short, the large pelagic fauna.
There will also be no shortage of wrecks, including the Thistlegorm, one of the most fascinating and beautiful wrecks in the world.
EGYPT
the fantastic world of corals
Always a great lover of Egypt, I wet my advanced certification in this wonderful coral reef.
When we talk about the Red Sea we often think of Egypt, so easy to reach from Italy (about 4 hours by plane) and accessible to everyone. In a highly strategic position, Egypt offers vacation opportunities for all tastes, both marine like ours and terrestrial; in fact it is the heritage of Egyptian civilization and for this alone it deserves to be visited...
But let's get to us!
We wandered between Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada and Marsa Alam, noticing very marked differences between the different cities.
All three are absolutely worth visiting! We like Sharm because it is Sharm! A touristy and cheerful town, with activities to do in the evening, restaurants and clubs, it makes us feel a little more at home!
We also like Marsa Alam but the resort and sea life! Unique animals live in the sea of Marsa Alam and this pushes us to try everything to spot them: dolphins, dugongs and green turtles were the protagonists of our 2022 adventure!

The Marine Protected Areas also appear in the Red Sea
to protect these unique places.
